Global Leaders Programs

Global Education Curriculum

Philmore Academy Global Curriculum will provide students with a deep understanding of the differences that make cultures unique and the similarities that connect us all.

Our GLOBAL-READY STUDENTS will:

  • develop the attitudes, skills and, knowledge to understand and participate in a globally connected world.

  • explore their own cultures, make comparisons with other cultures and investigate global issues and challenges.

  • improve their critical thinking, problem solving, perspective-taking, and research skills.

  • develop awareness of cultural diversity and global issues.

    and

  • entrepreneurship in a global market.

Committed to Service

Research has shown that students who engage in community service are more responsible with higher self-esteem and resilience. Beginning in grade 3, our students will be able to participate in volunteering opportunities. This will help our students gain new skills necessary for the job market such as leadership, communication skills, dependability, time management, and decision making. As a result of these opportunities, our students will perform better in school, as well as have a greater appreciation for what they have.

Foreign Languages

To provide our future global leaders exposure to the world abroad, our students will take foreign language classes. Research has shown that acquiring a second language improves  memory and increases attention span for students. The process of becoming bilingual helps students to exercise the brain, challenge them to concentrate and boost their problem solving skills. As such, our bilingual students will  score higher on standardized tests, especially in the areas of vocabulary, reading and math.
