Early Learning Academy
Philmore Academy's Early Learning Academy (PreK3-K) program provides a developmentally appropriate curriculum which fosters an integrated approach to learning. Working to reach each learner’s stage of development, the curriculum is presented in weekly, thematic units centering around a letter of the week. The interdisciplinary units include fundamental skills in the areas of literacy, math, social studies, science, art, music, and personal social development.
As part of a college preparatory school, the preschool program provides enriching experiences within and beyond the classroom. Several field trips throughout the year provide learning outside the Philmore Academy campus. Performing arts talents are cultivated in the school twice weekly with a professional drama/dance/chorus teacher. A culminating activity and most anticipated yearly event is the play with singing, acting and dancing on the big stage.
Students must be four years old by October 1st of the matriculation year in order to be considered for enrollment in the K4 class.
