Welcome to Philmore Academy for Science & Arts. I am excited to serve the community and grow student leaders of excellence and invite you to join us in our mission. We are embarking on a promising journey and would like to bring you along. After a career in education spanning two decades, and working at all levels of education, in Florida and Georgia, it is both my pleasure and my honor to introduce you to our campus, our programs, and the difference in our approach to education.
A Philmore Academy education is anchored in an academic experience that is individualized, as well as both challenging and engaging. Our scholars live the school’s philosophy and values every day. From PreK and beyond, Philmore Academy scholars will connect new knowledge and ways of thinking to important, real-life situations. Beyond a wide array of core content classes, Philmore Academy scholars will also enjoy the opportunity to explore their interests and develop their talents in the areas of STEM, the Arts and Advanced Academic studies.
Our culture prizes leadership, character, integrity, and kindness, which means your child will enjoy a safe and supportive environment in which to learn—both about themselves and about the world around them. Those of us who passionately work here are extremely proud of all that goes on during the school year, and we would love the opportunity to share that passion with you.
Nelson Mandela asserts, "Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world." Once it is obtained it can't be taken away. I believe that all students are capable of achieving greatness if they are persistent, operate in integrity and do everything in excellence. At Philmore Academy students are taught to have bold dreams and the audacity to accomplish it. We believe and teach our scholars to dream big because, if you can dream it, you can achieve it. It is my firm belief that when children are given the right foundation, they will soar on wings like eagles.
